I created the FidoGazette because the FidoNews was and still is moribund. 
Anything else Ward or others say otherwise is just a fever dream on their

The FidoGazette is for all of Fidonet, not just Zone 1.  However, with a
majority of Zone 2 being insular, I'd not expect anyone from Zone 2 to
participate in the FG though I would certainly be welcome to be wrong on
that.
