Consider installing Telegram (available for desktops and  
smartphones). If internet is still accessible *within* the  
country, some fidonet echos may still be accessible via the  
@Fido2telebot bot.

The bot even supports messages to and from netmail.

[1] Install Telegram to the device of your choice.
[2] Send %HELP, and %LIST to @Fido2telebot.

That's all that there is to it.
