There is a configurable limit.

In FSetup you have the setting: Miscellanious / Mail options / Max message
size (kb)
Which takes a value of 45 to 9999.

The actual maximum for the text file that will be read, will be 4096 bytes
smaller though, because FSetup reserves those 4096 bytes for msg headers and
the like.
