I'll keep my fingers crossed. My BBS machine has no desktop or xorg at all. I
don't think wine is an option there.

It's only needed when using a BBS that doesn't support *.msg. I have a friend
in a situation like that.

My netmail bases have always been *.msg so I am happy enough with that and it
works well with golded or any editor that can use *.msg.
