I am not having THAT problem. I can enter a backslash without problems. But
there is something odd with the keyboard going on. I can not enter non-ASCII
values. I have the keyboard set for Dutch and so I can enter umlauts and
accents with the dead key method. E.g. an o with umlaut by first pressing the
colon key and then the o. Or the single qoute and e for an e with accent. This
does not work. I also have a setting to type cyrillics That doen not work
either. Plus that Alt + num keys do not work.  *1)

There definitely is someting odd going on with the keyboard.


*1) I had a scary moment. I am typing on a laptop withhout nummeric keyboard.
In trying out some odd keyboard combinations to use the Alt+num codes I
suddenly had the screen upside down. I had to use Rosa's computer to search
the web to find a way to get it back to normal....
