And I can know confirm it works exactly that way on Big Sur, and even on an M1
ARM64.

A **HUGE** thank you for your fast reply and accurate info.  That enables the
last piece of the puzzle of retiring an power hungry Linux PC from 2011 and
moving my Fido node and development to my Mini (which stays on all the time
anyway, sleep is disabled)!
