It's always nice to have a familiar face on modern hardware and software. For me, I have been using GoldEd for so long that my fingers are "hardwired" for its keyboard shortcuts. I have a few minor issues with GED (like personal mail scan not working for some odd reason) but it's more of an annoyance than a dealbreaker.
