Aliases branch was not merged yet. It was another set of patches from Nil.
I'll work on Aliases branch merge soon.

And I very appreciate your help with testing! GoldEd has too many settings to
be able to test on my computer and even imagine different combinations.

And it doesn't have any unit tests, that doesn't help. :(
