Sure. RTFM. Nobody said it have to be easy. ;-)

Create an empty directory. If gedlnx is not in your path just copy gedlnx into
it. You can create a minimal config with
./gedlnx -INSTALL

There is a no show bug in case of config errors that can be worked around with
"gedlnx > /dev/null". (keep the output into file "gedlnx > output.txt")

Golded can have an advanced config. The group system, the charset system, the
template system, the random system. You should start with a minimum and
configure the features you need one after another.
