It is. But you can't see it if your terminal can't display colors.

For a "save" color config without errors use the predefined colorset patterns.
It's on page 26 of my edited version of the golded reference manual but i
think a text search will reveal the location in the original version. If you
don't get different colors with that presets then your issue is with the
terminal.
