There's several hamfests in Tennessee: one is about 40 minutes from here in
Greeneville and two are within an easy two hour drive: Knoxville and
Sevierville.  Chattanooga is about three hours.  The Shelby, NC hamfest
is about a two and a half hour drive southeast of me and the other ones are
west and southwest of me respectively.  All three are worth the time and
effort.  Having a power scooter will come in very handy for hamfests.

That's what killed off our main local hamfest.  The main organizer died and
no one wanted to do his work.
