Very rare that we get that much snow around here. We had that big ice storm the year they had the Superbowl in Arlington, pretty much shut everything down. People in the Dallas area don't know how to drive properly in rain, let alone snow and ice, plus we don't have the infrastructure to properly cope with it. Just not used to that weather. I do have a generator now, but that's not likely to keep the internet going since it's no longer over copper, so getting some sort of ham based text communication might be on my todo list eventually. --- SBBSecho 3.20-Linux * Origin: End Of The Line BBS - endofthelinebbs.com (1:124/5016) SEEN-BY: 1/123 15/0 18/200 19/38 90/1 105/81 106/201 987 123/131 124/5014 SEEN-BY: 124/5016 129/305 130/330 153/7715 218/700 226/30 227/114 SEEN-BY: 229/110 112 113 200 206 307 312 317 400 426 428 470 664 700 SEEN-BY: 266/512 282/1038 291/111 292/854 305/3 317/3 320/219 322/757 SEEN-BY: 342/200 387/21 25 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 5020/400 SEEN-BY: 5075/35 PATH: 124/5016 396/45 229/426 |
