I realize the messages in this echo/forum are old but I just had to post
replies to You and earlier to Sean.
(I think I'm writing to Mark instead of Sean ).

Once a LID always a LID.
I was called LID Vance in high school by the Hams that knew me before I got my
Novice License in 1958.
Even the sophomore Hams knew me as LID  Vance.
And I was a senior then.
