TZUTC: -0500 MSGID: 594.hobbynt-hnetsyso@954:895/7 28cd0877 PID: Synchronet 3.20a-Win32 master/52fa4b0ea May 18 2023 MSC 1929 TID: SBBSecho 3.20-Win32 master/52fa4b0ea May 18 2023 MSC 1929 BBSID: TBOLT CHRS: ASCII 1 I'm trying something new with Internet Rex...instead of my trying to poll your system just after 1am Eastern, 12am Central, 11pm Mountain, and 10pm Pacific Time, for FTN mail runs...I'm going to put Internet Rex into daemon mode. Originally, I had in in that, but one of my connects would make it exit after a poll. So, in conjunction with my CAPTCHA batchfiles, that copy a new random code every 5 minutes around the clock...every 15 minutes, I will have the system check for the semaphore file in Internet Rex's semaphore directory, indicating it or daemon mode, is active. If it finds that file, it exits...but if not, it activates daemon mode. If this "testing" works, then the nodelists can be modified to show The Thunderbolt BBS as being CM (continuous mail). I will still do a nightly poll at the times noted above. If you can't connect, then one or more of the folllowing is the reason: 1) Xfinity internet outage. 2) Power outage, which means the internet is out as well. 3) Rebooting for Windows Update (sometime on the 2nd Tuesday). 4) Offline for thunderstorms in the area (potential or actual). If you can't connect, please try your poll again later. For QWK Networking Connects, I'll do those polls on an hourly basis. Please email me at wx1der@gmail.com if you have any questions.
