And if so or not, what causes them and how to keep them at bay. The ones biting are killing my German Shepherds ears, and biting my ankles left and right. My yards pretty much immaculate, and I can't figure out whats going on. They tend to hand out at my patio where I have about a 5x5ft pond, super clear with UV filter, Bio filter, great pump, and pre-pump filter. It's crystal clear to the bottom, and no moisture surrounding it. Other then the pond, which I've read they can hang out closer to water, I can't figure out where they are coming from and why. I've read to apply OFF with Deet -- doesn't work. To use dish soap on adjacent shrubs and trees, no go -- apple cider vinegar on the dogs ears -- no go -- 4:1 water:vanilla extract -- no go. I'm about to get out the hard core stuff and spray everything; but it'd kill the fish and not environmentally friendly. Any input would be great as it's making the summer days in our "relaxation zone" extremely painful -- the bites are like yellow jacket stings. -d --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A45 2020/02/18 (Windows/32) * Origin: The Underground [@] theunderground.us:10023 <-port (1:227/702) SEEN-BY: 1/123 18/200 90/1 120/340 601 123/131 226/30 227/114 702 SEEN-BY: 229/101 424 426 664 1014 PATH: 227/702 229/426 |
