Logs are rotated, so I guess that info is lost already. I really don't know
how this could happen. Messages were never touched. You can make backup to
external storage from general settings menu and send me the database files
(your passwords are not stored there), so that I could have a look and
investigate what happened.

You can specify domain name and :port. AFAIK ipv6 is supported as well.
