I have used gopher quite a bit over the years. I don't have a gopher client
installed at the moment and the plug in I used with firefox became outdated,
I'll have to look into that and see if that has changed.

Gopher is a good read only protocol. As long as your not posting or uploading
it'll do just fine.

Sometimes I go looking for old files that I have missed or deleted I have a
hard time finding on the web today. FTP searches were always good and they seem
 to be hard to find now too. I'll have to check some gopher sites and see what
I can find.
