(At least I *think* that's the one) There is a scene where he specifically explains why the mics and cameras on pcs can't be trusted. This is coming from a guy who would not purposely allow his computer to get hacked and therefore is probably safe from hacking. Despite that, he disassembles that hardware - and only uses external devices when required. RM> BTW. it is the same with the microphone, only that you do not even have a RM> LED or slider :) Ah.. YES! The darn microphone. Reminds me of the debacle of Amazon's Alexa devices going rogue and recording everything even without the "wake word". Seems to me that is something Amazon could have purposely left unresolved for the sake of calling it a field experiment. Then, attempt to fix it only when someone discovers the problem and reports it. ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.43 * Origin: (2:221/1.58) SEEN-BY: 1/123 90/1 103/705 120/340 601 123/131 154/10 203/0 221/1 SEEN-BY: 221/6 360 226/30 227/114 702 229/101 424 426 452 664 1014 SEEN-BY: 240/5138 5832 5853 249/206 317 400 280/464 5003 288/100 292/854 SEEN-BY: 292/8125 310/31 317/3 320/219 322/757 342/200 396/45 423/81 SEEN-BY: 423/120 712/848 770/1 2432/390 2452/250 2454/119 PATH: 221/1 280/464 240/5832 229/426 |
