It's obvious critic of Spotify's business model and good pointer that it feeds on engagement for its own interest, nor it cares about artists, especially indie. It's a mainstream media these days and behaves like one so I don't share that negative enthusiasm of the author, nor I find all evidence he found being fundamentally judgmental. It's the matter of preference and in this I agree with the author. Spotify is not the way I like to listen to the music and discover it and being culturally enriched by it (regardless who gets monetarily rich on top of that experience, that's where my moral support is more vague to the cause). -db ... Xerox Alto was the thing. Anything after we use is just a mere copy. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A49 2024/05/29 (Linux/64) * Origin: 2o fOr beeRS bbS>>20ForBeers.com:1337 (1:105/420) SEEN-BY: 105/7 10 11 44 45 81 420 500 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 SEEN-BY: 154/110 218/700 226/30 227/114 229/110 112 206 300 317 400 SEEN-BY: 229/426 428 470 664 700 705 266/512 291/111 292/854 320/219 SEEN-BY: 322/757 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 902/26 5075/35 PATH: 105/420 81 229/426 |
