That should be no surprise. The Intenet has de facto run out of IPv4 adresses
ten years ago. For years I have been saying that DS-Lite is unavoidable in the
long run. There just aren't enough IPv4 adresses left for everyone and so we
will reach a point where "normal" users will not get an IPv4 address all for
themselves. IPv4 adresses will only be available for those demonstrating teh
need for them. An effective way to demenostrate need is willingness to pay for
it...

We - sysops of an amateur network - will have to learn to do without a globaly
routable IPv4 address. I have demonstrated that we can. I published my
findings in Fidonews.
