It's only dead if you are signing up as a new subscriber AFTER they have
stopped giving new subscriptions to the service.  I got my current renewal
the day before they stopped taking new subscriptions, so I still have
access to all the stuff they have there on TechNet.  After my year is up,
then it will be no more.  I might just move on to MSDN or request access to
the partner stuff through my employer.
