Assuming that you have node x:xxx/xxx configured in your Irex node manager
and you are using a 'session password':

Are the 'Areafix netmail' message attributes set to either Crash, Direct
or Immediate; or are you relying on Irex working with the nodelist?

A snippet of your log showing the connection, posted here, would help to
determine what is happening.
