Absolutely not.  It spontaneously instilled itself in my conciousness.

I first heard tales of the use (usually in the form of a threat) in one of my
early secondary school classes.  The 'bone' bit & the shoes that leave no
print of the spirit man in the dirt, as he stalks a victim.  I never got a
chance to ask about them of my aunty Flo' (a full-blood 'coloured person').
