I can see them in Thunderbird if I view the message source. Otherwise, they
don't show. I've googled and found that Thunderbird does seem to have had
issues with this in the past. I'm just looking for a way for it to not happen
with my current setup.

If the other two messages I posted from other nntp readers don't have that
issue, then it's definitely TB, and I can start checking settings in the
config editor.
