I recently installed Kubuntu, and want to check if I can replace my Windows
OS with this one.
At first sight, it looks good, HW detection seems to be very good when
compared to Redhat some years back.

When I connect the PDA via USB,(MIO 168 with internal GPS), it is recognised
dmesg gives following result:
[17182120.280000] drivers/usb/serial/ipaq.c: USB PocketPC PDA driver v0.5
[17182120.280000] ipaq 3-1:1.0: PocketPC PDA converter detected
[17182120.284000] usb 3-1: PocketPC PDA converter now attached to ttyUSB0
[17182120.284000] usbcore: registered new driver ipaq

My question is now, how can I sync with Kontact ?

After installing Kitchensync, there is an additional Sychronisation icon in
Kontact, but it does not seem to work.

When I run Kitchensync separately, I get following reply
20:36:03: Ready.
20:36:09: Sync Action triggered
20:36:09: Performing Sync
20:36:09: Sync done
but nothing happens.
I think I need to tell Kitchensync to connect to the PDA, but I don't know
how. I don't find a user manual for Kitchensync neither.

As I'm fairly new to working with Linux GUI applications, I could use a
little help with this.
I know the basic commandline things from working on a stripped Redhat Linux
as OS on the Alcatel OXE PBX & unified communications systems, but no
experience with Linux on the desktop yet
