Are you running linux on the notebook or an x server? If so just use ssh
-X and run claws-mail. Else the other option is samba. I
have a NAS setup from ADS

for file sharing web server etc.
I did have to install imagemagick and uudecode/yydecode and create my
own 'actions' for muti-part files.
