I've just tried something briefly with Claws, so can't be certain that it
works fully - but it does seem to. You can set up a series of 'accounts'
with the same server details which are effectively profiles (perhaps best
to set them not to collect mail so that only 'account' actually collects
mail from your server).

Folders then can have default accounts associated with them, and the
account carries .sig, from, reply-to etc - just as a profile does in TP.
Any new mail has the default profile selected as 'sender', but in a
drop-down providing access to all other accounts.

As far as I can see - and I'm away tomorrow and over part of the weekend so
testing time is limited - this can all be accomplished in Claws fairly
easily (except the actual 'seats' aspect- it doesn't seem to have
multi-user features, but then nor does the single-user TP!) - the
filtering / pre and post processing looks very powerful. I have to say I'm
impressed with it.
