I am an absolute beginner to Linux, though I've used DOS, Windows, and
OS/2 for a long time. I found Keir Thomas' book, _Beginning Ubuntu
Linux: From Novice to Professional_, to be valuable.
I borrowed _PC Magazine Linux Solutions_ from my public library and
found it quite good. It is not Ubuntu-specific.
