I've lost the thread, but I seem to remember someone talking about
getting Kpilor to work.  Just noticed in the Mar 2007 issue of Linux
journal that they talk about getting it to work under Ubuntu in the
"Tech Tips" section.

The gist is that you need to grab the most recent source, KDE and QT 
dev libraries, cmmake, and pilot-link as well.
