Hi,
Forgive me if this has been brought up here a bunch of times, I'm new to
Linux.
I've been wanting to mess around with Linux and have a Powerbook G4,
1.66 GHz, with 1.5 GB RAM. I tried the latest (beta) version of Ubuntu
(6.10) on the laptop from "live CD." There were some graphical glitches,
the trackpad response was extremely slow (even after adjusting mouse
settings) and it wouldn't quit properly after shutdown; I had to do a
hard power-off on the Mac. If anybody has fixes for these items, I'd
love to know what they are! :-)
Anyway, I'm burning a CD right now of the 6.06 LTS version to see if
it's any better. But in the meantime, before I take the trouble of
backing up and repartitioning my hard drive, is PPC Ubuntu discontinued?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
