I normally run Ubuntu 6.06 LTS. However, I am experimenting with 6.10
in another partition. I would like to try to set up Beryl on the 6.10
system. My hardware is an Intel 2.60 celeron processor with 1GB ram.
The video is the Intel onboard Extreme Graphics 3D
82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE chipset (uses the i810 driver). I realize
that this is marginal, but it's what I've got. I've read that people
have run Beryl on this video chipset.
My question is, does anyone know of a step-by-step for installing Beryl
(with my chipset in mind)?
I have googl'ed this and all the instructions are based on the nVidia
cards (for obvious reasons). The Ubuntu wiki isn't very helpful. Can
someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance...
Dick
