I downloaded, burnt and booted the 64-bit Kubuntu. After the graphical
screen, it says "This is not an amd64 machine. Please install the i386
distribution of Ubuntu".
No 64-bit? I checked the BIOS and found out I have got a T2300 1.66 Ghz
in my Lifebook E8110. And the T2300 is a Core Duo, not a Core 2 Duo. And
the Core Duo is *not* 64-bit, only the Core 2 Duo is (see wikipedia
quotes below).
Pity. No 64-bit. So I can't find out whether 64-bit Kubuntu is grown up
enough to use it.
