While this may play a secondary role, the main reason is that linux is
designed to be more secure.

Personally I think the strongest are :
  - Open source that can be examined by a lot of people such that
security holes are there open and clear , ready to be fixed.
  - Users work in user space ! Not much chance to infect systems by that.


And .....
the plural of virus is viruses. If there would be a Latin plural (quod
non ;-)) it would be virus.
