Yeah, I like 12.04 better than the 12.10.  Are you using 32 or 64 bit version?
I've been able to do quite a bit with Ubuntu in collaboration with our Windows
network at work.  Amazing stuff in Ubuntu for a desktop client software.  Much
is available to it in apps and programs.  I like the wine hq feature for
running Windows programs.
 
What do you use it for primarily?
