Trying to work with something that spits out an error about using ptheads..

undefined reference to `pthread_kill'
undefined reference to `pthread_detach'
undefined reference to `pthread_create'

Distro: Ubuntnu server 64b 14.0.4.5

Per other suggestions elswhere:

sudo apt-get install libpthread-stubs0-dev

Installed, no change...
