Fax V.27/29/17/34/34b etc. are transmitted via standard for FAX OVER IP known as T.38... Its not the same signalling over "SIP line" as a POTS line If you want dial up you will need a POTS line and modem or ISDN BRI if you can still get it.. most have have cut it off, unless you had it already. Few users will have dial up of any form... seems to be some sort of IP based conncetion via like telnet etc.. to replace the modem connect. Rick ...
