I'm not surprised that you're still a little confused. Hopefully
you've worked out who in this thread is providing useful info and
who is providing clueless comments.
You won't go far wrong with either choice, they are more similar
than different, and the differences between either and other
distributions of Linux is greater than the differences between U.
and M. M. is specifically designed to get most home users up and
running with multi-media and a range of utilities that they can use
'out of the box'. Support on the Ubuntu forums (recommended) apply
to both. Just jump in and enjoy!
