Why doesn't that surprise me?  Speaking of which, have you managed to update
glibc?  I am still using 2.33 as we speak.  I have a bootable 2.34 based
rootfs but it is currently "officially" flakey.  It will probably stay that
way until just before glibc-2.35 is released (January-ish).  :-/
