I'm sorry to say that i can't take a closer look now. I'm sure there was
something like upload but i'm unsure if it was upload for the ipmi image or
the bios image. I got a working PXE boot before i got an ipmi board so i
continued with PXE and did't dive into the details of ipmi standards.

On the other hand i think ipmi would be incomplete without bios update
function because it's designed for remote system administration. As far as i
remember it can load the boot image and at least that way it can load the
flash disk with OS and flash tools.
