MSGID: 1:153/7001.2989 62e3380f CHRS: UTF-8 4 TZUTC: -0000 Hey Benny! dmidecode> Handle 0x0005, DMI type 9, 17 bytes dmidecode> System Slot Information dmidecode> Designation: M2M dmidecode> Type: x1 PCI Express dmidecode> Current Usage: In Use dmidecode> Length: Short dmidecode> ID: 34 dmidecode> Characteristics: dmidecode> 3.3 V is provided dmidecode> Opening is shared dmidecode> PME signal is supported dmidecode> Bus Address: 0000:04:00.0 The above is for the nvme interface and should be noted that it is x1. That means I'll never get the extra performance that these disks have to offer. However not is all lost as it makes an excellent boot device at sata speeds with the extra enhanced uefi bootablility of nvme (ie partuuid instead of hdx limitations). Bottomline is don't bother investing in a high performace nvme disk when it will never attain that level of performance. Life is good, Maurice ...
