Using the screen height ought to help when boot penguins extend beyond the
visible top row.  96 penguins will fit into 4 rows on a 4K monitor with room
to spare (30 per row).  It should also work on a 1080p monitor except will
need at least 6 rows of boot penguins.  Smaller than that I don't think there
will be enough real estate to accomodate 96 penguins.

A 3D animation might be fun.  :-)
