I just built golded-plus on lfs (very minimal) without issues.

Is it finding your golded.cfg? I "export GOLDED=/usr/local/etc" where my
golded.cfg is and it works well for me.

If I forget that export that's what happens, golded just doesn't run, it
returns you to the command prompt.
