The legacy boot is an inteldrm based jobber (aka Little Mikey's > Brain). I don't see the penguins here like I used to. I'm not exactly sure why. I recently booted the arch linux live CD and there were the penguins, only two in my case but there they were. I'm not sure what the difference is but there they were.. :) > For sure the amdgpu is the better option as far as boot penguins are > concerned. My laptop uses amdgpu if I am not mistaken. I'll have to try something new there. I am not even sure what driver my lfs is using. lspci -k sees it but doesn't report what the kernel driver in use is. That machine has an nvidia card and I tried to build the kernel with the noveau driver but it hangs on boot so I don't add that support. I wonder if building it into the kernel or as a module makes a difference. I'll try again and see if I can make that go. --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Toy-6 * Origin: The Rusty MailBox - Penticton, BC Canada (1:153/757) SEEN-BY: 1/123 15/0 90/1 103/705 105/81 106/201 114/709 120/340 123/131 SEEN-BY: 124/5016 129/305 134/100 153/135 141 757 6809 7001 7715 154/10 SEEN-BY: 203/0 218/700 221/0 6 226/30 227/114 229/110 111 112 113 SEEN-BY: 229/114 206 307 317 400 424 426 428 452 470 550 616 664 700 SEEN-BY: 240/1120 5832 266/512 280/464 5003 282/1038 292/854 8125 SEEN-BY: 301/1 310/31 317/3 320/219 322/757 341/66 234 342/200 396/45 SEEN-BY: 423/120 460/58 633/267 280 281 384 410 412 416 418 420 509 SEEN-BY: 712/848 770/1 5020/545 PATH: 153/757 280/464 633/280 229/426 |
