They were at one time. When I first started BBSing that was "online". Times
have changed. Significantly, but I am still a BBSer.

I just realized the other day that vlc has an ncurses interface but I have
never tried it. I played some music with it but didn't have any movie files to
try at the time.

I'm going to have to get mplayer installed and try it out on the console.
