old long term kernels should not break imho, just remember have oldest
longterm should work

pentoo got made after many gentoo developpers want something core diffrent, i
lost why, but pentoo developpers stopped as gentoo developpers :)

seems so, but postfix developper do not break old postfix installs wich
incompatible updates, no thank you, hope dovecot will be better in future or
