   Dear Maintainer,

      * What led up to the situation?

I wish to use the webcam in my new 2024 HP Spectre 16" laptop

      * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
        ineffective)?
I downloaded the latest kernel source, configured compilation to include the
ipu6 camera subsystem from my Meteor Lake system
I compiled a Debian Kernel Package, and installed it

      * What was the outcome of this action?
I booted into my newly installed kernel, and the camera does not seem to exist
   - demsg and v4l2-ctl output attached

      * What outcome did you expect instead?
I was really hoping I could get my camera working
