   Yes, I confirm it used to work but does not work now so I reported it upstream.   
      
   You can use ctrl+- and ctrl++/ctrl+= to zoom instead.   
      
   I encourage you to consider installing the papers app instead. It is   
   GNOME's current default PDF viewer.
