   I find that a problem for upstreams that don't releasa via signing tags.   
   That is the majority of my packages. I think that having an .orig.tar.gz   
   that hashes the same as the tarball relesed by upstream is vital for us.   
      
   Just for the record: None of my packages require upstream repacking.

   I fully agree and would like to add that the perisistence that   
   tag2upload gets pushed slowly begins an urge to push back in my   
   consiousness. Just to say it in German: "es nervt".
