   Probably the package should be retired sooner or later.  I simply think   
   as long as popcon of sxiv is just higher than nsxiv it makes sense to   
   keep it for a while (maybe one further release?)  I guess its an effect   
   of users are just used to this name.   
      
   This was the idea of using an alternative and at the same time filing   
   #1128391.  I consider to suggest the maintainer of nsxiv to join the   
   Phototools team as well and use the alternative as well.
