During installation, installer logs and screenshots are written to the
installer root filesystem which is a tmpfs (volatile). In order to store
them permanently, you must either complete the installation even if a
step failed or manually copy them to any persistent location, e.g. in
the installed system (/target), from an installer shell before aborting
   the installation.

When the installation is completed, installer logs are copied to
   /var/log/installer of the installed system.
